How did you end up doing what you do?
My daughter was getting married in 2011 and wanted artificial flowers but she couldn’t find anything she really liked. Being a creative type I decided to do it myself and everyone loved them. The seed was sown!

What's the best part about your job?
I love the creative part of my job. Thinking of new ideas and creating unique designs. For instance, the Black Forest Gateau Flower Arrangement and the Spider Bowl.

What's the most unusual wedding you've worked on?
We had a request from a Bride for a bouquet which had to include about 10 different flowers, based on their meaning. It seemed quite a random array of flowers that didn’t really go together, but by using different varieties I am pleased to say it all came together and looked beautiful. Sadly though, I found out some months later the wedding had been cancelled!

What's your most popular type of wedding product?
Bouquets and Buttonholes. I have found that a lot of people like the unique designs that can be created with artificial flowers but have to compromise, usually with their Mothers’, and have the church and venue arrangements in fresh flowers!

What advice would you give couples wanting to order your products?
Our online shop has a range of designs and colours available, but a large proportion of our wedding work is personalised to suit the style, theme and colour scheme of each wedding. Brides are often inspired by aspects of various bouquets and we will design according to their likes and dislikes. Artificial flowers will last perfectly for a long time so can be ordered a year in advance for those to like to have everything planned early. However, it’s not unusual for us to receive orders a week or two before the wedding for those who ‘forgot’ about flowers. I am happy to say we have always managed to fit those last minute requests in, because you can’t have a Bride without a Bouquet!
